Welcome back to the Philip DeFranco show you daily dive into the news.

And man, as promised, we have a lot of news to talk about today.

You know, we have to talk about Corey Harris because there's a huge update.

Also, if the name doesn't sound familiar, you might recognize the face.

Raise the guy that everyone was talking about last week because he called into a court hearing on Zoom for a suspended license, except he did it while driving.

With him then losing bond and being ordered to report to jail.

Failure to turn himself in will result in a bench warrant with no bond.

Well, now it turns out there's more to the story.

It turns out that a judge actually ordered that the suspension of his license be lifted

way back in January of 2022.

But then for some reason, the Michigan Secretary of State's office just never received the

news that the suspension was lifted.

And so according to Harris, he believed that he had every right to be behind the wheel,

telling WXYZ. They were supposed to be lifted it two years ago, but they didn't. It's very

embarrassing. And with the type of ties that I have with the church and the community, it's very embarrassing.

But still, because he got caught on that Zoom, he ended up spending two nights in jail.

And not only that, Harris claimed that the reason that he was driving, he wasn't just doing it for no reason.

He said he was actually driving his wife to the doctor because her medical condition was worsening.
