And the first thing we're gonna talk about today is the controversy and backlash against Dunkin' Donuts, which I'm saying it that I'm talking about a guy named Duncan, not a donut establishment.

But that said, the reason we're talking about them is what happened at a Syracuse Duncan Donuts over the weekend.

On Sunday, there was a video posted where a Syracuse Duncan Donuts employee was seen dumping a pitcher of water onto a man with his head down, who has now been identified as Jeremy Dufrain.

And to start things off, I'll just let you watch the video.

and i ain't gonna call the cops for you like i said no you're gonna get out of here

so the video was taken put online it ends up going viral garnering over 42,000 shares on Facebook following that there were calls for a boycott of the store for the employees to be fired on Monday you had al-a-mean Muhammad who runs the homeless outreach we rise above the streets confronting the store manager and leading a protest of around 20 people some holding signs reading homeless lives matter homeless or, homeless or human. We also saw the owner of the Dunkin' Donuts franchise Kimberly Wollack saying in a statement,

we were extremely disturbed by the behavior of our employees captured in the video,

and not only violated our written policies, but goes against our core values as an organization,

which include creating a welcoming and hospitable environment and treating everyone with dignity and respect.

The employees involved in the incident have been terminated, and we will be contacting the individual in the video to apologize for the negative experience.

And regarding that victim, we've learned more about him since the video was posted.

Reportedly, Dufrain sleeps outside most nights and has schizophrenia.

Also, as far as why he was there, he said that he sometimes goes to Dunkin' Donuts to charge his phone in order to call his mother, which he does every night.

And he said on the night that the video was taken, he wasn't sleeping, he just had his head down on his hands while he was waiting for his phone to charge.

And he also said he was surprised when the employee poured water on him, since theyrain said he probably had some personal problems of his own and needed someone to talk to.

And he took it out on someone else like me.
