0:04.8	Buckle up, hit that like button and let's just jump into it. And the first thing we're going to talk about today is another YouTube scandal, although there's probably going to be a on business. So if you have not seen, there is this new controversy
0:20.9	around demonetization. And when we're talking about YouTube monetization, we're not talking about the
0:24.7	fantastic brands that support this content during the TIA segment. We're talking about the ads
0:28.9	that YouTube serves you, right? The pre-rolls, the post rolls, the mid-rolls, the little boxes that say
0:34.8	buy, you know, is what a lot of creators and companies rely on
0:38.1	to continue making more content.
0:39.5	And while demonetization, of course,
0:40.7	is not a new topic, there is a new focal point
0:42.9	thanks to a collaboration between several channels.
0:45.0	YouTube analyzed, C-Lo, not that one, yep,
0:47.9	and probably most notably NerdCity
0:49.5	who released a video on their account.
0:51.2	And for those unfamiliar with the monetization system,
0:53.0	the way it usually works is YouTube representatives like CEO, Susan Wigiske, have repeatedly talked about, is that the
0:57.3	platform has a machine learning program, meaning your video, your title, all those tags,
1:00.9	pass through an algorithm that determines whether or not they're ad-friendly.
1:03.9	And of course, because machines do make mistakes, there is an appeal system that allows
1:07.1	human beings to look over the video. And then, depending on that human's understanding of the content,
1:11.2	they could decide to remonitize it.
