I wanted to take a moment to wish you all a very relaxing and an enjoyable day from all of us here at the President's

Now, while today is a day to gather with family and friends, of course, to fire up the grill,

maybe head to the beach, the the pool or just hang out in the backyard

it's also first and foremost a reminder to take just a bit of time to reflect on the past and present sacrifice of those who have served and are serving this nation.

This country is built on their sacrifice and of course that of their families.

Those that have passed and our current veterans and active duty

represent such a small fraction of the overall population. They are truly deserving of our

gratitude and appreciation.

Now, I come from a military family. My father entered World War II

with the Army Air Corps. My brothers, it was Vietnam, service and duty to country. It was ingrained in our

upbringing. You do your part, you serve something greater than yourself.
