Let's get briefed. We'll kick things off with an update on the outbreak of the mysterious form of pneumonia, currently creating havoc in Chinese hospitals and similar infections now breaking out in parts of Europe.

Earlier this week, we reported on the dramatic surge in an unidentified respiratory illness, primarily impacting children

that appears to be spreading throughout China.

The symptoms include fever, lung inflammation, without a cough, and pulmonary nodules or lumps on the lungs.

As of now, no deaths have been reported.

Now a similar pattern appears to be emerging in parts of Europe. In the Netherlands in particular, a dramatic spike in pneumonia cases has been observed, particularly among children aged 5 to 15, where 80 out of every 100,000 were treated for the illness.

Even younger children aged 4 and under are seeing a similar rise with cases jumping in recent days.
