1:23.4	And while officials on both sides continue to describe the current situation as a ceasefire,
1:28.8	it's becoming increasingly difficult to square that description with what's actually happening
1:33.3	on the ground. Over the weekend, U.S. Central Command announced that American forces carried out
1:38.5	what it described as, quote, self-defense strikes against Iranian military targets in southern Iran.
1:45.6	According to CENTCOM,
1:51.9	the operation targeted radar installations and drone command and control facilities near the city of Gourouk and on Keshem Island. Now American officials say the strikes were launched in response
1:57.9	to a series of aggressive Iranian actions, including the shootdown of a
2:02.1	USMQ1 surveillance drone that was operating over international waters.
