But the biggest news, the biggest storyline kind of confirms what we already expected

is when Hugh Free spoke to the media before practice,

he said that Peyton Thorne is the expected starter going into fall camp.

If you're an Auburn fan, I think that's the best news you could have hoped for.

You want, you know, let's just be honest about it.

We heard that talk after the bowl game that was going to be an open

quarterback competition. That should concern you if you have an incumbent coming back.

Sure. With three years of Power 5 college football experience. So you want the more experienced

guy to separate himself. You want the guy that was your starter last year to be the guy that is

your starter this year and has made that leap.

And it sounds to me like that's what's happened with Peyton Thorne.

He's gotten better.
