the washington post sam fortieth as we discuss Dron Payne.

That's not what I thought we were going to talk a lot about today.

But the commanders went out and signed Payne on Sunday to a four-year deal worth up to 90 million.

So we discussed the impact of that move.

We also discussed some free agency decisions they have to make, kind of looking

back at some of the classes that this particular group has brought in. Are they, you know,

how good are they at doing that? It's setter. We get into all of that, the impact of pain coming back.

I do know that there was an urgency. I had heard last week that they were progressing, that they were making

good progress. What that means, who knows? Because that could mean one different things of different

sides. But there was an urgency here because they wanted to know what they had to spend in

free agency. And there are some guys that they want to go target right away that this now allows

them to be aggressive going after those guys. And I don't

know who they are. I don't need the price range. I'm still expecting in that five to eight million

dollar range. Maybe you could go a little bit higher if there's a guy you really like. So,

but Sam and I get into a lot of that stuff, the market for linebackers, et cetera. So that's,

that's one thing.

The tampering period begins on Monday afternoon.
