to support households which are struggling to repay personal loans due to the impact of

coronavirus on their incomes. Since then, millions of people have

frozen payments on a range of debts, including mortgages, cars, payday loans and credit cards.

It was supposed to be a temporary measure, but financial uncertainty around lockdowns and

the recent extension of the furlough scheme has caused the FCA to keep the scheme going at least

until July next year.

Okay, well, mortgage borrowers who haven't already requested a payment holiday of the three months

can do so until 31st of March 2021. Mortgage borrowers who are already in a repayment holiday can extend

that repayment holiday initially that was three months to three to an extra months. And

the scheme is for a maximum of six months altogether. The deadline for new holidays is the 31st of March next year, and all payment holidays

must end by the 31st of July 2021.
