I can't welcome to Adorama Compliments. I'm Annabelle. I am finally back in LA. I was in South Carolina for three weeks. I was there every day canvassing for Elizabeth Warren. So, you know, sadly, this is being recorded later.

But when I was there in South Carolina, when you canvassing is like being a Girl Scout where you go dordidore and instead of urging people to buy cookies, you're urging them to use their right to vote.

Yes, did you know only a hundred years ago is when women finally got the right to vote like a hundred years ago. Can you imagine those like women suffragettes who were out there fighting every day for us to have the right to vote and walking around in their, you know, pink pussy bonnets having to carry signs while they're wearing, you know,

like, garters and, you know, waste corsets before we all started doing it, you know, because we saw like those Instagram ads, they had like real serious corsets and having to walk around and do that like.

So, they did that for us. So, that is why it is so, so important that you use your right to vote and you use your voice as a woman because every day our voice is still trying to be silenced even in 2020.

And speaking of 2020 and the calendar Sunday was International Women's Day. So happy, belated International Women's Day.

I hope you celebrated it. I celebrated it by telling every man I saw that he should smile more because they would just be so much more handsome if they smiled. Come on.

It's really easy to smile as a man because you have a lot to smile about.

Like way more than women still. And that is what we are going to talk about today.

With International Women's Day just real quick, that was one day allotted to us by the patriarchy and the calendar to celebrate the labor and contributions of 51% of the

International population. And Sunday was also daylight savings where we lost an hour. So we women couldn't even get a full day. We were even short an hour where short on equal pay and we're short on fucking time.

Time doesn't even cost anything. That's what so many like you couldn't even give us a free hour.

Anyway, even the calendar doesn't treat us equally. And that makes me sad because I love my cute little kitten calendar. Every month, there are in different buckets and there's different decorations around it and it's adorable.

But even now this is tainted.

It's 2020 and like every part of our lives and our world have been changed. I mean, I'm not some not for better, but it all definitely has changed. I mean, we have progressed so much in technology wise, population wise, social media, everything has evolved except for equal pay.

And today for every white man making a dollar white women are only paid said 89 cents.

I'm so sorry for my dry mouth even even my body is rejecting saying these stats because they're sad.

I apologize, even my body knew what I was about to say for people with minorities because that's even worse.

So for every white man making a dollar white women are only paid 79 cents.

Even if they're and this is for the same job, the same work amount, even though we all know women are expected to work more and smile more well, they're doing it. And also like, you know, like look pretty. You should spend some time, you know, putting in some effort.
