Tell with me, please, to the book of Hebrews, second chapter.

We've been on a series for some weeks now.

We're calling pay attention.

Anybody remember where we were at last time?

Yeah, that's good.

That's right.

I heard the answer.

Hebrews 2 and 1

says we ought to give the more earnest heed heed to the things which we have heard,

lest at any time we should let them slip.

The things of God are not difficult and hard to understand and grasp because of who our teacher is.

The Holy Spirit is the best teacher there's ever been.

And he knows where you and I are in our understanding. is the best teacher there's ever been.

And he knows where you and I are in our understanding,

and he knows how to teach us and what words and what illustrations,

what thoughts, et cetera.

So it's not difficult to get a hold of the things of God from that standpoint.

But why would he have to tell you, he that has ears to hear, let him hear?

Take heed what you hear.

Hold fast what you have.

Why do you have to say these kind of things, you know, caution you about letting them slip.

It's because of where we live.
