Greetings. Welcome back to 59 degrees north. I'm your host, Andy Schell, and this is episode number 112.

I am recording this from the Nav station of East Bjuren up here in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia,

and I'm a little bit self-conscious this morning because Matt and Rachel and Mia, our crew

for the second leg, are staring at me right now.

But anyway, we'll see if I can get through this.

I don't have a new episode for this week because, well, I've been sailing quite a bit lately

and I haven't had time to record anything.

So this is a rerun from two inspired guys.

This is Polish sailor Pavel Motawa.

I met him at the Ark, I think in 2012 maybe.

I don't even remember it was a while ago.

But I interviewed him on his boat Malika.

He's an Antarctic sailor, spent like seven years

going back and forth to Antarctica with other people and then finally built his dream boat

to do it himself. He's also a TV producer and has a studio in Poland, so he's a pretty interesting

guy and I got a chance to sit with him in the cockpit of his boat and actually do this interview in person.

So it's a little, the production quality is not as good as it's been lately because I didn't have all the gear that I have now.

But I think you'll get a good impression from this one and you'll understand what's going on.
