Timothy, second Timothy. Let's just read the little intro that they have here in the Bible, the Olive Tree Bible, just because it's here. Let's just read it, all right. Prison is the last place from which to expect the letter of encouragement. By the way, we're in Second Timothy. So open up your Bible, get out your notes. We are going for it tonight. when he writes this he begins by assuring timothy of his continuing love and prayers and reminds him of his spiritual heritage and responsibilities.

Only the one who perseveres whether as a soldier, athlete, farmer, or minister of Jesus Christ will reap the reward.

Paul warns Timothy that his teaching will come to attack as men desert the truth for itching ears or ear scratching words asatching words as chapter four but timothy has paul's example to guide him in god's word to fortify him as he faces growing opposition and glowing opportunities in the last days glowing i like what they did there paul's last epistle received the title prose timothy on b the second to timothy when paul's epistles were collected to gather that b was probably added to distinguish this letter from the first letter he wrote to Timothy. Okay, so this is Paul's second letter. That's what they're trying to say there. I'll slow down as we get into it. I just wanted to get through that. So this is Paul's second letter to Timothy. He's in prison when he writes it in a Roman prison, knowing his execution's near. This will be the last letter that Paul writes. The title of this is Paul's final words.

That is 2nd Timothy. It's not clickbait. It's Paul's final warning. Paul's final words. Is 2 Timothy, his deathbed letter, some call it. If you're on your deathbed, this is your most important time to say what you want to say. This is my final words.

I'm on my deathbed.

It's my last letter I'm writing. And it's some important stuff. So that's kind of how we're going to look at it and take it. Very urgent. It's very important. Share this video.
