I'm curious, Paul, did you ever find yourself in a situation where you are on the team

before a trade deadline?

Because maybe it's a little bit different now with social media, but everyone's

speculating what everyone's going to do.

You know, you're playing with you're hearing rumors about your team. Did you ever find yourself in any of those situations where you're trying to play and focus, but you also know there's moves being made, or you just kind of tune it out? I never really thought about the trade deadline. You know, I don't think I was ever worried about getting traded and the places I was in. But that's kind of like the hardest thing when one of your teammates. No, like seriously, like Perth, you know, he's not here right now. He got traded, you know, in the middle of the year. And it's like, dang, I've been seeing him. He was with me fresh out of high school and, know it was just like it kind of like you want it

just moved you kind of like you not only lost a teammate you lost a brother you know that you seen

grow up and you was there with him for like seven eight years and it's just like damn it's like what

do you say to him like and then you know me being the captain and franchise player people think i had to say so and people getting traded. You probably did. No, I didn't have, I never. You guys are going to hash it out, too. No, no, I never had, I never wanted to be that. I was like, y'all make them decisions. You know, I never even was in the room. Like, when he got traded, certain people, like, when Antoine Walker first got traded when I was there. When we had a playoff run, I didn't know in the room. So it's always hard because people don't understand, like, when you get traded in the middle of the season, you just got to get up, you got 48 hours. hours. Like your whole life, have you been a place four or five years, you got 48 hours

to be somewhere else. And think life, if you've been a place four or five years, you got 48 hours to be somewhere else.

And think about it if you got kids in school or your wife and you're living with people, and it's like,

damn, you might have to leave them for like the next six months because you don't want to uproot them right away.

And it gets hard. It could be a mental toll on you and that's what the people don't want to uproop them right away. And it gets hard.
