Welcome to Searchlight, a survey through Scripture with Pastor John Corson.

It is our desire to bring you a systematic study of the entire Bible,

chapter by chapter, book by book. In our recent searchlight studies in the Book of Acts, we have seen the Apostle Paul getting into a difficult

predicament. In trying to share the gospel with the Jews, a riot broke out and Paul was arrested,

and then he was sent to Cesarea for trial. During that trial, Paul makes an interesting confession.

Paul says that he is guilty of three things. As we listen to Paul, consider whether you too would be found guilty of these same three things. With our study, here now is Pastor John.

The Apostle Paul was just too hot to handle.

You know the story, if you've been with us over the past several Wednesdays.

Paul the Apostle went to Jerusalem into that city,

and immediately a controversy swirled around him.

For they were telling lies, they were declaring Paul has taken Gentiles into the temple,

something that was absolutely forbidden, punishable by death.

So the whole city virtually stood up and ran towards the temple, and they grabbed on to Paul ready to rip him in pieces.

The Roman captain, Claudius Lysius, heard the commotion, mobilized his soldiers and went and rescued Paul just in the nick of time. He placed Paul in protective custody, and while he was taking Paul back to the fortress, Antonio, the crowd following
