I'm I'm Well, we thought we were settling in just for a nice preseason game to kind of just get through the night.

But unfortunately, as the second half resumed, we looked at the starting lineup and Paul

George is not there. Caleb Martin was in it. And we just simply thought, hey, he's getting

the rest of the night off. Well, some of us did. And, the Sixers later on revealing through Gina Misel from the inquire that

Paul George has suffered a left knee hyper extension and would not return for the rest of the game.

And that is the story of the game as the Sixers pick up their second preseason win through four games.

chat and we have a lot to get to with this latest news Derek as we sit here watching the game

and we're just seeing things they have running up and down the court not a lot of shots falling for either team

and then you mentioned that he was not in for the final few minutes of the second quarter

Kyle says hey Caleb Martin is starting the third,

and we realized that Paul George was the one that he was in for,

and we later get the left knee hyper extension.

Yeah.

Look, I think sometimes we can lose perspective

because it seems like every minor thing turns into a major thing, in part because

every hyper extension we deal with feels like it's coming from Joel and Bede and the 7 foot

280 pound frame that that knee has to carry. But not every hyper extension is a big deal.

Sometimes it can be. A lot of times it's not, we just don't know. And I'm sure Nick Nurse will talk to the media at some point while we're on the air. I'm sure he will say absolutely nothing about the injury, in part because he was busy coaching game, in part because they really never give any meaningful injury updates in a post-game press conferences. So I don't love it. I prefer when the stars do not hyper extend their knee.

Prefer when nobody gets hurt in general, not just the stars.
