Tonight I want to talk to you about something that if you're anything a little like me as a human being

It's easy to lose and that is the topic of expectation. I want to talk to you at the beginning of this new year.

Here we begin another season 2009 about how we can enlarge our expectation. It's been

great in the service to hear some of the

desires that people have in their hearts about what they need God to do and be a

part of this year. And I want to get straight into it is that cool can you understand me

all right you just not even if you can't give me a wave just to encourage me all right

but we're gonna go to the old testament and I want you to

take your Bible we're going to go to the book of Ezekiel chapter 37 and for some of you

this will be a well-known chapter but it's my prayer that God will use it to really encourage us to lift

our expectation into this new season.

Ezekiel chapter 37 and we're going to pick it up in verse one. The word of God says the hand of the

Lord, Ezekiel says the hand of the Lord came upon me and he brought me out in

the spirit of the Lord and he set me down in the midst of a

valley and it was full of bones. Then he caused me to pass by them all around and behold there were very many in this open valley and indeed they were very dry.

Then he said to me in verse three, son of man, can these bones live.

So I answered, God, you know.

Again he said to me then prophesy to these bones and say to them

to them bones or dry bones hear the word of the Lord.

Thus says the Lord God to these bones,

surely I will cause breath to enter you and you shall live.
