The accused is another member of that family and his

defense is that yet another member of the family did it. Here's the story.

The case against Paul Canaro unfolds like a nightmare born inside of a family feud.

Prosecutors allege that in April of 2018, Paul drove to his brother Keith's house where he murdered Keith, then killed his wife, then stabbed his children before he set the house on fire.

Investigators say the crimes were deliberate, methodical, and fueled by resentment,

and a conflict between the brothers about money. Authorities alleged Paul used firearms,

accelerants, and careful timing to carry out the attacks, then attempted to destroy evidence

by igniting the home. The fire initially masked the murders, but autopsies revealed Jennifer and the children were killed before the flames spread.

Paul was arrested within days, and prosecutors laid out a chilling narrative of jealousy, rage, and betrayal,

one that transformed a family dispute into one of New Jersey's most horrifying

alleged crimes.

Now, what's very one of the strange facts in all of this, right?

In this case, it makes it very different, is that there are actually two fires that morning.

The one fire is at Keith Canero's

home where he, his wife and his children were killed, were murdered. Then that mansion that

he has was set on fire. But no one really, the fire burned for hours before there was any response to it.

One, because it started inside of this huge home.
