Welcome back to true crime cases. I'm your host, Lainey.

In some criminal cases, it's almost like the contrast between the crime and the person committing it somehow makes everything more shocking.

For example, when the criminal is a police officer, something that seems to occur ridiculously

often, breaking the law instead of upholding it.

Then there's cases where nurses intentionally harm or even kill the vulnerable people they're

supposed to be caring for. Or when already disgustingly wealthy businessmen dodge taxes or

run Ponzi schemes, so they can make just that little bit more of

money. It's the kind of situation you hear about and can't help but notice the inherent irony in it.

In the case we're going to look at today, the irony definitely adds to the shock factor, because

who knows how to uphold the law better than a lawyer?

Or maybe more pertinely, who knows how to get away with breaking the law better than a lawyer?
