seven years after her last one as Cosmetics pioneer Helena Rubinstein in War Paint,

the great Patty LuPone.

LuPone, who is 68, is New York born and bred, and was a member of the first class of Juilliard's drama division,

which was overseen at the time by John Houseman.

After graduating in 1972, she continued to work with Houseman as part of his acting company,

with which she made her debut on the Great White Way in 1973.

She landed her first Tony nomination in 1975 for her portrayal of Rosamund in the original
