host, Chelsea Devantes. I am a writer, comedian and filmmaker. And this week we are book clubbing

the memoir from Patty Lupone titled a memoir. Very simple. This is that's also the title

of Rita Marino's memoir, just a memoir. And I'm sure many other books straight to the

point. And it is a ride through the theater and it includes an array of topics from her

start in the theater to her career in the theater to a bunch of really great details about

the theater.

That was Patty Lupone singing Don't Cry For Me, Argentina. And the infamous note that

Andrew Lloyd Webber wrote for her to sing that she will never forgive him for, nor that

she need to. And being able to hit those particular notes, it will come up in the book.

with my wondrous and absolutely divine guest, Ariel Dumas. Hi, Ariel. Hello, Chelsea.

That's so good to see you. Ariel is an incredible comedian writer, actress. She is head writer

at the late show with Stephen Colbert. And she's a former staff writer for the Colbert

rapport. She hails from the Midwest. And my favorite credit of hers. She performed the

holiday second city Christmas show at Arlington Heights with me. We also performed on New

Years. It was the saddest New Year's of our lives. The show ends at 11.45 and then the

audience had a stamping toast as we loaded up the van to go home. Yeah. And do you know

what what people really don't want to hear more of on New Year's Christmas? We still
