| 0:34.8 | This is very, very disappointing to me because it's really just another brick on the wall of things that you look at this offseason and you go, they weren't ready to go. |
| 0:36.5 | The Patriots weren't ready to go, and you mentioned it. |
| 1:27.5 | I mean, Robert Kraft has known that Drod Mayel was going to be the Air Pair and head coach for this team for many, many years. And it took them a long time to let go of Bill Belichick. And it's taken them a long time to kind of get going in free agency. The staff that you mentioned, Mike, it took them forever to get a staff assembled and ready to go. So they have just been behind from the get-go. And even though, and I hear what you're saying, Michael Holly, when you say, hey, this is his first year and he doesn't know what he doesn't know, he's been talked about being a head coach ever since he got into the league five years ago. He's wanted to be a head coach from day one since he got here as a linebacker coach five years ago, and it doesn't look like he's been ready to go. And that's the disappointing thing because I was a big supporter of Gerard Mayle. Until I saw that he wasn't ready to put his together staff, that's the most important thing. But most guys aren't ready. You should be. |
