Don Van Nada, some people don't realize that we are friends and we have run into each other a couple times over the last couple years and there's two I want to highlight in specific.

Because the US Open is happening, you did a very thoughtful television story about

Serena Williams and you invited me up to New York and we sat and talked about

Serena but the most important time was when I was at NABJ in Miami looking to get out of a party

and I got an invite from DVM to come out

and eat a piece of fish on the docks

with your friends.

Please tell the folks about that debt. We had a great time at

the Coconut Grove Sailing Club. I'm a member there even though I don't sail, but the

fish is always fresh, the beer is always cold, we had a really, really good time,

one of the best views of Miami, and we have to do it again soon, Clinton.

It was a fantastic evening, people kept texting me, where are where are you I was like I'm with

devian eating fish looking at his Jordans leave me alone that said if I were to

elect you for any particular Hall of Fame. It might be the older white guy

sneaker Hall of Fame, but which one would you choose Don if you could elect

yourself to a Hall of Fame? Well I'd lean pretty hard toward Cooperstown in the Baseball Hall of Fame.

I had a great morning, just the two of us.

Rob Manfred, the Commissioner of Baseball, and I had the place to ourselves prowling around for a piece I did on him a couple years ago.

But, you know, the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio is a pretty special place too.

On the hall's top floor there is this cavernous circular room,

whisper quiet. You're surrounded by the bronze bus of nearly 400 NFL legends.

That's a pretty special place too.
