Hey, what's up everybody? Welcome into Tom Caron's Patriots Talk podcast, Free Agent Edition Edition. We've been holding out as long as we could. So that's why this is popping in this afternoon on Tuesday.

Reason being, we're trying to see if the Patriots are going to make that move. And the move

they need to make is that Y receiver. And the Y receiver that they have targeted is Calvin

Ridley. Phil will join us in just a couple of minutes. But as far as we know, as we begin this pod,

and we will update it later if we have to, an addendum or whatever, and figure it out.

Ridley right now is mulling an offer from the Patriots, but according to Adam Schaefter, it's not what he wants yet.

And his inclination is to stay with the Jaguars.

Additionally, this is an interesting sidelight to this.

If Ridley re-signs with the Jaguars prior to the start of the league year on Wednesday,

then the Atlanta Falcons will get a second round pick.

Ridley, of course, was traded from Atlanta to Jacksonville.

If he's signed after the league year allowed to hit free agency, it becomes a third round pick.

So is that part of the dynamic existing with Calvin Ridley?

His team's not going to sign him and put ink to paper until after 4 o'clock on Wednesday when

the league year begins.

We don't know.

But the Patriots do have some time to convince a good, not great, wide receiver to come

aboard.

Meanwhile, as you know, the Patriots have re-signed Michael Wenow.

They have re-signed last week, Hunter Henry, the tight end.

They have re-signed Josh Uche, tagged Kyle Dugger, and re-signed Kendrick Point.

And you look at that and you go, oh, my God, it's the same team.
