Robert, after last year, when the team spent a lot of money in free agency, this year it's been a quieter offseason in terms of that.

How would you describe the team's plan and approach this year to get better?

Well, I think we have a lot of young players that are coming into their own.

I don't think free agency is over.

I know the big spending. We use, remember, we have a salary gap. So there's only so much we can do in that area.

I do think that we have an opportunity to people up right along the way, right down

of the final cuts. That's, to me, when free agency is over, and I've seen it other years.

And people get all excited with the headlines now, but in the end, it's what happens throughout the entire year.

I was Robert Kraft on Free Agency again this morning at the NFL owners meetings.

We'll play another cut coming up that I think is a little more pointed about spending and what it does and he brings up the salary cap there, which of course, you know. Cap space can be maneuvered, as we all know, in a number of different ways. The whole tone today was, we spent last year, this is about the draft. he doesn't go there in that cut but he went

there several times today you have to win over the long term on the draft and it was just part

of the whole tone being i'm not spending again this year like we spent last year free and season

over we can pick up guys off the street all the way up until training camp so you know we

would fully expect them to do it.
