So we are joined by Ted Johnson, former Patriot linebacker, again from our town for entire studios. How you doing, Teddy? Hey, Mike, I'm good. You know, Maz wants to do whatever vacation and miss out on getting the big house and the, you know, all the nice car. I'll take it. I'll take all the shines. So, no, it's, it's good to be with you. And I'm excited to be particularly on this day because many, many things are going on right now that I have thoughts on. Okay, interesting day, interesting week. Big Jim in our update studio. Hi, Jim. Hi, Mike. Hi, Ted. Hey, what's up? So, just to sum up, basically, so far, we're two hours into the tampering period. The Patriots reportedly have re-signed Devin McCordy, Matthew Slater, Brian Hoyer. Ted Karras, the Interior Liman, is gone to the Cincinnati Bengals. I think that might sum it up here locally. Ted, what are your thoughts so far? Oh, I'm very, very disappointed. Everybody's going to say, okay, well, you know what? The Patriots don't have a lot of money to spend, bull crap. You had opportunities to lower, you know, to kind of shed some of that salary cap.

You did not do that.

You were going in with the number that you had at the start of free agency.

You could have gotten more money there for you to get big game hunting.

You did not do that.

And with the AFC exploding and all of these teams reacting, I think, to what is going on in the AFC, bolstering up their lines, bringing in

wide receivers. These are teams particularly in the AFC. And plus, Tom Brady announcing he's

going to come back and play for Tampa Bay. What has been the Patriots response? Bringing back

Devin McCordy, Brian Hoyer, and Matthew Slater, who I like all those players. Don't get me going to get it wrong. But please, that is not the answer to what is going on right now. And the thing that worries me is that the Patriots are seeing what's going on around the league. And they're like, Matt, we're fine. Status quo is okay. And they are, they're out of their minds because this team needs to get vastly more improved than it is. if they're going to keep up with what's going on in the AFC man so you think the plan is just they're going to build on what they did last year bring back what they had last year and just think that it's going to get better in year two i think that's exactly right i really do i think that is that is their their plan um they're going to love the ones they're with i think think Bill feels like, well, Mac Jones is going to make a big jump.

All the guys that they brought in, there was a, let's face it. I mean, this time last year, the Patriots had already signed like 20 guys. Two hours into it felt like. I mean, it was just signing guy after guy on day one and day two, at least for agency. see they feel like the guys they brought in
