Who drove the horses? Two of Tanner's buddies took the horses because he and I are flying up to meet with roper apparel, one of our sponsors.

One quick question before we end the intro and get into your story.

It's an amazing story, and I wish we'd have had a four-hour podcast.

Yeah.

But how's it work at the NFR when you come in in different places

and you're not roping with your partner?

How do you guys choose, who ropes with who?

Well, you designate your partner, so there's 15 and 15, obviously,

and sometimes that'll get skewed because one guy maybe wins Houston,

and then they split up and then you know it can get

skewed like that but anytime that happens there's usually one or two odd guys out so if there's

if there's two headers and two healers that their partners didn't make it they either get on the phone

with each other and agree hey let's rope or the PRCA random draws. Gotcha. And you get a phone call and you get told it. And it never goes that way. Usually what happens is there's a couple of guys that maybe they've roped together or their buddies or something. And when they see the chance of that happening, like it looks like this guy might not make it. I would prefer to rope with that guy. they get on the phone in September and they're like hey if this happens you want to rope
