From the land of the free and the home of the chiefs, this is the

locked on chiefs podcast. Welcome back to the end of the first official week of

free agency in the NFL. The chiefs has been maybe a little more active than we thought,

definitely in a certain direction that's different than I thought, but we're going to get into it

and see where they are. They have a couple of new hood ornaments at the front of the car that are going to man the offensive line for Patrick Mahomes.

free agency because it's not really a full week it only started yesterday or

Wednesday yeah well it feels like a week because technically it kind of was a week considering the tampering period and all that, but, you know, regardless, I digress, I just want to say I am very excited to have them with having Jo Tooney and now Kyle Long and it sounds like right as we're

getting ready to come on the air they re-signed Mike Rimmers which you and I do need to talk about because of the way it was put out there but they

also re-signed Blake Bell so he is back and I know you said something about him

coming back about that they've already improved the tied in position and maybe they're not done.

To me, let's start with Blake Bell really quick.

To me, the Blake Bell signing is he can be tied in too. he's an upgrade over what they had last year

but it doesn't mean they're done I to me that's a that's a veteran deal and he could

be tied in three I completely agree with you. It's nice because it's a fit because he knows the offense.

He found he found another contract in Dallas last year. Okay fine. His output was nearly exactly the same targeted 13 times 11

receptions for 110 yards. It's actually a bit of an increase from what he did

with the Chiefs in 19 where he I think it was like eight yards of catch.

But yeah, this is not, he's not an offensive weapon.

He is a guy that can do the dirty work.
