Since her feature film debut in Brian De Palmas of The Untouchables,

Patricia Clarkson has done a number of things that display her talents as an actress. She tends to go

from characters who might be contemplative, such as her work in her new film, the film Cairo

Time, or characters who may be a little bit more impulsive, such as her work in films, say, high art by Lisa Chaladecone, or Woody

Allen's whatever works.

Patty, first of all, thanks so much for being here.

Oh, Elvis, I'm so happy to be here.

Oh, well, first of all, tell us a little bit story in a way, but it is a North American woman traveling to Cairo.

She's a magazine editor to spend a romantic week in Cairo.

Her husband works for the UN.

And he gets caught up in Gaza and can't get out.

And she's stuck in Cairo alone, you know, a stranger in a strange land.

And because she's there, her husband sends his former kind of security driver detail man to show her around Cairo.

And so the lovely, wonderful Alexander Sadiq showed up to take me around Cairo.

It's fascinating because I was thinking about this and the Woody Allen film, whatever, works.

And you play two characters who come to new places and discover themselves via being strangers.
