Oh, it's that time again.

It's a wonderful time for Oscar.

Wait, is Khan Film Festival known as like an Oscar destination?

Not really.

I feel like, actually, I feel like increasingly it kind of is, right?

Like, I feel like the Palm Door in recent years kind of has become a bit more of an

Oscar contender.

And now that they're, you know, they've really been packing the juries with actors these past

few years, which I feel like really.

Yeah, sticking it up.

Yeah, you know, make sure the most mid, you know, movie gets the Palm Door every year.

I think Cannes Film Festival is one of the festivals that I have the least interest in attending. It seems pretty miserable. That's interesting because I'm not like at the peak of wanting to attend it in my life. But, you know, there's a part of me that thinks it's cool. Our friend Peter goes every year and he's like, eh, got to go to the Con Film Festival again. Oh, poor guy. I know.

Although it's different for him, though, because he's like... He has to go on the floor and everyone's trying to sell to him. Exactly. He was telling a story once of like walking into, you know, a bar or a restaurant, some party and a well-known producer. Uh-huh. A well a well-known producer and I, everyone knows, is like, he overhears him saying, like, okay, the Midnight Madness guy is going to be here. Oh, I know exactly who it is. Yeah, yeah. He had two movies that year. It's like, okay, right back out. That life, that life is not for me. No. What would you want to do at the con film festival? Oh, beyond the jury.

Oh, okay.

So that's what you want.

Yeah.

I mean attending as a like person going to normal movie screenings. Okay. That seems miserable. That's what I mean by attending a film festival. Here's what I, here's my ideal con film festival experience. I have whatever badge it is that Roger Ebert has, you know, the one that gets you in at any time.
