right? And what that increasingly

looks like as we have this breakdown of the full control, say, of the United States over what,

you know, the digital world looks like. And you have these other parts of the world trying to

carve out their own ideas of what the internet, you know, or what digital technology is going

to look like in their spheres.

And you've written in particular about how Latin America has a particular approach to digital

sovereignty that you think is worth learning about. Can you talk to us a bit about that? And what you

see is positive in how Latin America is approaching this and how it would further empower, you know,

the people who use these technologies rather than just the people who make them.

Well, just to make like a connection between the two topics, something interesting that we did

in Santiago when I visited the community of Cerrios is that we co-organize a workshop with

the local community, environmental activists, is that we co-organize a workshop with the local community,

environmental activists, and digital rights activists. So I think that usually, you know,

the environmental impact of digital technologies have not been central in the concerns of digital

rights groups. I personally think that that's particularly concerning when it comes to Latin America,
