Hey, and Disclosed listeners, we have a little surprise for you this week. We are gifting you a bonus episode, and this is the episode that we have dropped in our Patreon last week so that you can kind of get a taste of what you might be missing out and decide if you want to join if you have not joined the Patreon. Now, you can join the Patreon at three different levels to support our work. For a dollar a month, you get good karma and

0:21.4

warm fuzzies because you get to help us defend innocent defendants pro bono. Legal and

0:27.2

investigative services cost tens, if not hundreds of thousands of dollars, and it would be such

0:31.9

a prohibitive cost to the defendants who need it the most. So thanks to your support, at just a dollar a month,

0:38.1

you can help us to continue to do our work for years. You can also join at $5 a month and be an ally.

0:44.3

For that, you get our normal episodes, but ad free. Of course, you get your warm fuzzies and good

0:49.4

karma. You also get the bonus episode, like the one we're dropping today, and you get to join

0:53.7

that bonus episode recording live. So you get to see me and Colin live while we are doing our thing. The final tier, the highest tier that you can join us at is $20 a month. And for that, you get everything else that I've mentioned. But also, you get to do a monthly true crime Zoom with me and a whole group of other diehards. That's the level we call

1:13.0

them is the diehards. And it's a great discussion every month that you can join. So enjoy this

1:17.8

month's bonus episode. It's the only time we're going to be dropping it in our regular feed.

1:21.4

And if you want to continue to find our bonus episodes, all you have to do is go to patreon.com

1:25.5

slash undisclosed pod and sign up at the $5 a month level.

1:30.8

And once again, thank you guys for all of your support. Hi and welcome back to Undisclosed toward justice. Today, Colin and I are doing a bonus episode,

1:57.0

and this is because there has been a season finale that aired of the HBO documentary of the case against Adnan Seid, which I think the season finale just dropped a couple weeks ago, right, Colin?

2:07.8

Yeah, just a few weeks ago we had episode five catching everyone up with the developments and everything that happened with the conviction integrity unit and the overturning of the reversal and juvenile restoration act.

2:20.6

Yeah. I mean, we did talk about some of this stuff when we relaunched undisclosed and in those first six episodes earlier this year.

2:28.3

But there's stuff that we didn't get into because we kind of didn't want to spoil it because we knew that the documentary was coming out.

3:08.6

And, you know, there's obviously footage in there that I think a lot of people are going to be seeing for the first time. Like, Adnan coming home and seeing his family. And if you haven't watched it and you have HBO. It's on HBO Max in the U.S. Stop, go watch it and then come back to our discussion. But if you don't have access to it, then you can just listen along. But I did want to give our listeners a little bit of background about the production of this episode. Now, I am, I mean, if you look at the credits, I'm an executive producer on the show, which means very little in terms of actually creating the show or the series. What it means is that my book, which was a non-story, I mean, that's what it was called, was optioned, right, to make a documentary. And so when you have a book

3:14.1

optioned, you kind of automatically become an executive producer and, you know, you have a little

3:19.0

bit of input. But the season finale was almost fully produced about two years ago.

3:25.4

Because look, this September, this is going to air.

3:28.2

By the time this air is, it's going to be October, I think.
