I've had a lot of drummers on the podcast.

Somebody came up to me at the comedy store on Friday night.

And they said, oh, man, I'm a big fan of your podcast and your comedy.

And I just want to say thank you for all, the drummers you've had on.

And it really made me feel good because I love celebrating just incredible

drummers. Look, we're just talking about Robbie. And I love drummers. I love good

drummers. And I just think that I've said it before people just don't understand

the magnitude of having a great drummer in your band what it does it raises the bar of your band

and most people don't even know why I've said it before they're just sitting there and they're going this band is fucking fire and they don't even know why. I've said it before. They're just sitting there and they're going, this band is fucking fire.

And they don't even realize maybe a lot of times why.

It's because the groove is so fucking fierce.

I was watching somebody a couple days ago in their groove.

I could feel the fucking groove.

It was like coming out of the Instagram page,

I was like, God damn, this guy is fucking pocket mania.

Just these guys that are just laying it down.

A great drummer is not like, you know, technical.

It's not like about blah la la. It's about, and I've said it before, you know, technical. It's not like about, but la la la. It's about, and I've said it before,

if you don't notice the drummer 90% of the time, that's a great drummer. It's when you notice them

is usually when they're bad because you're like, what's going on here? This fucking

song's dragging. It's slowing down or oh man

they're playing too fast so um the reason i bring this up is i was listening uh to alison chains
