I am fucking late to Turnstile.

Okay, I have been such a rabbit hole diver on Turnstile on the last two weeks.

And there's so much there that I love.

To me, the new record is a combo of Alice, or not Alice in Change, Jane's addiction,

raised against the machine with a little bit of, you know, classic hardcore.

It's bizarre record, man.

Seeing stars sounds like the police

era ghost in the machine.

But then the next song will sound like

Jane's addiction, vocal tone,

flavoring of a mountain song.

And then the next one would be like a rage against the machine,

but all sounding like this band turnstile.

And I don't think I really even gave it a chance early on because of the band name.

I thought, oh, this got to be one of those kind of Blink 182 era bands.

That's no shade on Blink 182, but there was an era of music that was just kind of like,

oh, okay, you know.

And turnstile, I was just kind of like yeah that just sounds like you know one of those bands

these fuckers have been together since 2010 just pumping it out and when you look at the

band they're so fucking locked every live clip I see of them, it fucking kills me.

They just did a Stone Roses cover.

It blows my mind.
