Well, I would like to start tonight in Mark 11, 12, and 13.

How many of you remember the fig tree that Jesus cursed?

I used to feel sorry for that fig tree because I thought, well, it wasn't his fault.

On the day following, when they had come away from Bethany, he was hungry.

Now that's important, say he was hungry.

You know, there's a lot of hungry people in the world, and I'm not specifically talking about

physical hunger, but they want something.

They know there's something missing, and they try to find it in all the wrong places.

But just remember that.

Everywhere you go, there's hungry people.

And seeing in the distance a fig tree covered with leaves.

He went to see if he could find any fruit on it.

Jesus was hungry.
