I'm Bruce Feldman, joined this week by a couple of my colleagues from the athletic.

But the biggest story that happened, and Stu was on vacation vacation still and i was on vacation last week

uh there was a friday news dump out of northwestern uh pat fitzgerald is getting a two-week

suspension and it goes to their investigation into hazing allegations inside the program

and we're going to have on Scott

Dr.man. Scott is the athletics, you know, fantastic Iowa beat writer, but he's really a great resource

on all things, Big Ten especially. And so Scott, you a couple of years ago covered the scandal at Iowa involving Chris Doyle,

the former strength coach, and obviously Kurt Ferrence.

But I think what was interesting about that story was it felt like it was playing out in real time

with former and current players weighing in on social media and

kind of airing a lot of stuff and it kind of blew up. I think this story is interesting because

it really, I don't know if if people kind of, and I always say people who cover college football and the media were kind of, oh, we, you know, Pat Fitzgerald's a good guy.

We end up, you know, kind of looking at it in that light and dismissing it or just didn't know what was going on.

Maybe also because it's a private school that it was kind of floating behind the underneath the radar. What was your

reaction when this thing first, first got released Friday? Well, first, thanks for having me on.

And I guess, you know, like everyone, I read the executive summary and I was a little confused by it

because there was an omission that there was

that hazing had taken place that they were going to shut down Camp Kenosha which was

you know a tradition for 30 years and Pat Fitzgerald is going to receive a two-week unpaid
