Welcome. Welcome to Middays. I'm Susie Larson. So honored to get to spend this time with you. In fact, I look forward to bringing you conversations every single day

that hopefully inspire you in your faith walk, the deep in your understanding of God's Word, that heightens your awareness of his very real presence in your life. Well, I'm so honored to have you listening

today, and I know that we've got listeners from all over the world, and we're a network. So we're

all over the Upper Midwest and our friends in Hartford, Connecticut as well. But most of you,

if you're watching the news, know we broadcast out of the Twin Cities area, and our city is literally on fire. We are in the middle of a four alarm, five alarm crisis. It's unbelievable,

the violence that's broken out, and we need your prayers. And I said this yesterday, during yesterday's

show, too, I marvel at the divine timing of how God works to book our guests. There's

times, their emails are going back and forth, and you're trying to find the right spot, and I just

love how God works things out as they mean to be worked out. We have an influential author,

pastor, a local pastor today. He's a pastor of a huge church in the Twin Cities area. He's written a book called

The Blessed Life that no one really wants. I'm going to get his thoughts just as a leader and a

shepherd in our midst, what he's seeing, what he's praying, what he wants to say to God's people.
