And on Sundays we have two services. The first service is normally dedicated to the prophecy update.

The second is dedicated to the sermon. But for today, we will be conducting two sermons.

And for the first sermon, I would invite you to join me in the Gospel of John.

Chapter 18 will pick up at verse 33, and I would ask all who are able to stand to do

so for the reading of the scriptures this morning followed by a word of prayer.

Again the Gospel of John chapter 18 beginning in verse 33 the word of God reads then Pilate entered the

praetium again called Jesus and said to him are you the king of the Jews Jesus him, are you speaking for yourself about this?

Or did others tell you this concerning me?

In verse 35, Pilate answered, am I a Jew?

Your own nation and the chief priest have delivered you to me.

What have you done?

Jesus answered, my kingdom is not of this world.

If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would fight so that I should not be delivered to the Jews.

But now my kingdom is not from here.

In verse 37, Pilate therefore said to him, are you a king then?

Jesus answered, you say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, for this cause

I have come into the world that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears my voice.

Pilate said to him, what is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again to the Jews

and said to them, I find no fault in him at all.

Verse 39, but you have a custom that I should release someone to you at the Passover.

Do you therefore want me to release to you the king of the Jews?

And they all cried again saying, not this man, but Barabbas.
