Well, good morning. And on behalf of Pastor J.D. Farag, we welcome you here to Calvi Chapel,

Kanioi, our live stream service on this Sunday. This is our second service here at the sanctuary.

And this morning, I would invite you to join me in the book of 1st John in chapter 4.

We will be reading from verses 7 and 8. And if you're able, I will ask that you would

stand for the reading of the scriptures this morning. Again, the book of 1 John in chapter 4,

starting in verse 7. The word of God reads, beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God.

And everyone whose loves is born of God and knows God.

In verse 8, he who does not love does not know God, for God is love.

Why don't we pray and ask for the Lord's blessing. Father in heaven, thinking of this topic

alone just shakes me to the bones.

And I would ask that you would bless this time and this teaching to all of our hearts

and express as much as we can accept your love that you have for us by showing us who you are and why

it is you love the way you do and only you can. So Lord we hear posture our hearts

and make us at the ready to receive in the mighty name of Yeshua, Jesus,

the Christ, we do pray. Amen. Thank you and please be seated. In our second service this morning, I have titled this teaching, God defines love.

And thank God for that. And I say that in this way because the world's view of love is completely inadequate to sustain

life as we know it.

And in fact, most of you would agree that the very word loved as used in society has little to no meaning.

The view of love by the world is so skewed.

The word itself has become trash. And to be frank, it's so low on the totem pole, that's why it's just used for everything.

I love ice cream.

I love this and I love that.
