0:23.0	message, state of course, faith, not fear. Tonight we'll pick it up in Joshua chapter
0:30.4	nine, chapter one, excuse me, verses three to nine. But before I do, let's pray. Father,
0:36.9	we come before you and we pray and give you all the
0:40.6	glory and praise for what you're going to do in this place tonight as we share your word,
0:47.4	as we share your instruction book to us, Lord, as we share your love letter to us. Well, we love you. We praise you. Teach us tonight. We pray, Lord.
0:57.9	And we pray these things in Jesus' name. Amen.
1:02.4	Last week, we opened the book of Joshua chapter 1.
1:06.5	Moses had led the Israelites up to the promised land.
1:10.4	He dies. And so Joshua is charged with leading God's people.
1:16.4	He's to lead him across the Jordan River into the promised land.
1:20.2	We also learned that this land was given to Abraham by God.
1:26.1	The Israelites had spent 400 years in Egypt as slaves.
1:30.3	The Lord frees them and he calls Moses to lead them out.
1:35.0	They wander in a desert for 40 years.
