on site to do an interview, and this is one of those cases. My producer, Kim, and I traveled to

Eaglebrook Church to interview pastor and author Bob Merritt, who's got a brand new book that I absolutely

love. It's just laugh out loud, funny, and so much practical advice. The title of the book is done with that. Escape the Struggle of Your Old Life. So let me tell you about my guest and we'll get this conversation started. Bob Merritt is a senior pastor of Eagle Brook Church in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota, one of the ten largest churches in America. He's the author of Get Wise and

seven simple choices. He's married to Lori and they have two children, five grandkids,

and a hunting dog named Blue. When Bob isn't leading or teaching, you'll find him on the water

or following his dog through a cat-tale swamp. I can't wait for you to hear this conversation.

scripture we just love the word of God and wondering if you either have a verse just from your quiet

time recently that you've been pondering or a life verse you carry with you you know one of the verses

I live by it's sitting on my desk right here I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength,

one that's close to that in my weakness, make me strong.

And I'm a very weak person.

I need Christ's strength every single day.

So that verse sits on my desk.

I can.

I can get through this through all things.
