Hello my friends and welcome back to the morning mindset. Are you ready to get your minds aligned with the truth of God?

That's why we are here and that's what I am encouraging you to do. Let's center our thoughts around the scriptures this morning.

Take the truth from it and apply it to our lives today. I wanted to update you really quickly a few days ago.

I mentioned the situation of a young man Samuel who we were able to help through not a needy person.

Well things have changed though we had flights booked for Samuel those flights have now been canceled due to COVID restrictions of him flying out of India back to the area around where he's from.

And so Samuel's having to start all over looking for flights to get himself home. I just want to ask you to pray for Samuel as he continues looking for a flight that can reunite him with his mother

and get him to a place where he can take care of her back home in Nigeria. Please continue to pray for Samuel's situation.

Alright friends we are diving into Acts chapter 26 today. Acts chapter 26 the Apostle Paul has been taken before various rulers because of accusations made against him by the Jewish leaders.

And he is standing before King Agrippa and Festus another Roman ruler of the area. And so Agrippa says to Paul this is 26 verse number one.

You have permission to speak for yourself then Paul stretched out his hand and made his defense.

I consider myself fortunate that is before you King Agrippa. I'm going to make my defense today against all the accusations of the Jews.

Especially because you are familiar with all the customs and controversies of the Jews. Therefore I beg you to listen to me patiently.

My manner of life from my youth spent from the beginning among my own nation and in Jerusalem is known by all the Jews.

They have known for a long time if they're willing to testify that according to the strictest party of our religion I have lived as a Pharisee.

And now I stand here on trial because of my hope in the promise made by God to our fathers to which our 12 tribes hope to attain as they earnestly worship night and day.

And for this hope I am accused by Jews of King. Why is it not incredible by any of you that God raises the dead?

I myself was convinced that I ought to do many things in opposing the name of Jesus of Nazareth. And I did so in Jerusalem.

I not only locked up many of the saints in prison after receiving authority from the chief priests, but when they were put to death I cast my vote against them.

And I punished them often in all the synagogues and tried to make them blaspheme and in raging fury against them I persecuted them even to foreign cities.

Now friends I want to pause right here in Paul's story and we'll come back to it again in tomorrow's episode.

But what I want you to note is the past that the Apostle Paul carried with him all the time.

Look at these things that he did as a zealous person for his Jewish faith. He believed that the teachings and the faith in Jesus Christ that was beginning to spread in his region was false.
