Every couple has conflict, but what if there was kind of a fun, creative way to deal with it?

I'm Jean Fuller joined by Dr. Greg Smalley and his wife

Aaron. They head up the Focus Marriage Department and we're going to revisit

now a conversation that Bill and Pam Farrell had with Focus President Jim

Daly. They talked about conflict and gender differences,

and we're going to begin now

as they address ways that men think

with regard to conflict.

And that's why when your husband does listen takes time to sit and have coffee with you,

I encourage women, thank him, thank him, because then he's going to want to come back and talk to you more.

And so oftentimes just a compliment or thanks

for taking the time goes a long way to encourage our mate

to love us by listening to us. But I have a little hint for the women too, and that is after being

married to Bill all these years, now 43 years, and raising all those boys, there's a very important box that women need to know

that is the blank box and there is a box that guys go to and they just park in this box and we've probably seen it they kind of

have this glazed look like in this blank box there are no thoughts there are no

words they can't believe us though. Women.

They don't believe us because they've not experienced it.

Right.

But as men...

As men, we take short vacations in these plain boxes and we literally think about nothing.

And so we women, like it's like we get radar and we say, oh what's you thinking?
