Summary
Today we are behind the mic with Kylee Nelson! Kylee is a Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU) nurse passionate about making travel affordable and accessible to nurses. Inspiring nurses to travel both near and far, Kylee began Passports and Preemies in 2017 while volunteering in Skopje, North Macedonia as a way to advocate for the prevention of nurse burnout through traveling. Kylee is the original creator of the “8 Day Vacay” – a vacation geared towards nurses who aim to take advantage of the potentially 8 days off between work weeks with no need to use PTO.
Kylee is passionate about making travel affordable and accessible to nurses. Only one year into her career as a nurse, she began to feel burnt out. Still loving her job and not wanting to quit, she would oftentimes dread going to work. Enter Passports and Preemies! Kylee has since worked as a nurse worldwide, most recently in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Since her journey began, she has had the privilege of visiting 35/195 countries, 3/7 continents, and 31/50 states, Today we get into all things NICU Nursing, international nurse travel, entrepreneurship, content creation, and curating a life you love!
