So let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for, especially for the

especially for the repose of Rick Mendoza and for Bonnie and Stassia and Jimmy.

Now we've begun meditating on the last things and today we reflect on our own particular judgment.

I love this passage from the diary of St. Faustina

because it shows the reality of our particular judgment

and that our purification or purgatory can be worked out in this life. She writes,

once I was summoned to the judgment seat of God, I stood alone before the judgment seat of God. I stood alone before the Lord. Jesus

appeared such as we know him during his passion. After a moment, his wounds disappeared except for five. Those in his hands, his feet, and his

side. Suddenly I saw the complete condition of my soul as God sees it. I could clearly see all that is
