Summary

From the series "Future Church." In Western, urban culture, work for many people is far more than a way to pay rent; it’s a quasi-religion people look to for identity, community, and purpose. Against that backdrop is the biblical theology of work as an expression of love and serve to God and neighbor. In this teaching we explore the vision of work as an act of kavanah through the practice of vocation.

1:14.0	So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them, male and

1:24.9	God blessed them and said to them be fruitful and increase in number, fill the earth and
1:33.6	subdue it, rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living
1:39.6	creature that moves along the ground.
1:42.9	Turn the page chapter 2 verse 8.
1:48.6	Now the Lord God had planted a garden in the east and eaten, he brewed meaning delight.
1:54.0	And there he put the man he had formed.
1:57.3	The Lord God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground, trees that were pleasing
2:01.4	to the eye and good for food in the middle of the garden where the tree of life and the
2:05.5	tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
