John 11, 25 through 26. Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life. The one who

believes in me will live, even though they die. And whoever lives by believing in me will

never die. Do you believe this? This is the Word of the Lord.

I'm getting sick and tired of hearing about that huckleberry teaching. You guys never

talk about me like that. We're going to have to do something about Mac. Because I opened

this sermon that way on planned. We should pray. Jesus, it seems that those who got

to walk with you most closely got to see you reveal yourself in new ways again and again.

They always tended to think they got it and then they were always undone when they realized

how incredible, how huge, how majestic, how good you really are. And so as we look at

yet another name, yet another way you revealed yourself, may we be undone or undone all over

again at who you really are. In Jesus name. Amen. So I want to open with two true stories.

The first one is about my brother in law van last January I shared a story about him in

the miracle of his survival fueled by prayer. He had had this horrible heart diagnosis

come quite suddenly in his mid 30s and his life was very much threatened and hanging in

the balance. And today he is the only patient in the history of Vanderbilt hospital to have

the combination of surgeries he had performed on him and survived them. It was a miracle.

Honestly I cannot remember ever seeing anything like it with my own two eyes before sense.

And I've seen some things. I mean like I'm not traveling faith healer but I am familiar

with the wild side of God. What I haven't shared is broadly is what happened since then.

When a number of months ago the mechanical valve saved van's life failed and it became

infected and covered with bacterial growth and they gave him at most just a few weeks
