IRS halts most unannounced visits to taxpayers' homes, citing safety concerns.

IRS said yesterday, a decades-long practice of unannounced visits to homes or businesses

to collect unpaid taxes is going to be a thing of the past.

The decision comes amid safety concerns from IRS employees and taxpayers, according to

IRS Commissioner Danny Wurfel.

Effective immediately, the agency will now make initial contact via mad letters to schedule

in-person meetings.

You're worried about the safety of these people.

No, it's just that there's too many fucking doors.

They can't knock on all the doors, they can't get to all the doors, and so they're not

going to do it.

They don't fucking safety concerns.

It should be a quick visit because you're under no obligation to talk to these people.

You're under no obligation to answer the door to talk to them.

When you open the door and they start talking, you're under no obligation to talk to them.

And if somebody has a warrant, you're under no obligation to talk to them.
