When the Spirit was given on the day of Pentecost, we heard the gospel proclaimed in many languages,

all at once, and the word of God was received by a multitude of people and went from being a select

of Jews to including every tribe and tone. And so as we hear the teaching text each Sunday in

this teaching series, we're rooting ourselves in the person of the Holy Spirit. We want to hear

the word proclaimed in different languages that are represented from within this community.

And so to that end, Bella is going to come and read our teaching text for us today.

Hi everyone, I'm Isabella, I'm a hunter in American and so I'll be reading in Spanish and then in

English. So Juan 16, Percicule 12,

I have much more to say to you more than you can now bear, but when he the Spirit of truth comes,

he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own, he will speak only what he

hears and he will tell you what it's yet to come. He will glorify me because it is from me that he

will receive what he will make known to you. All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I

said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you, the word of the Lord.

So whenever a television show becomes somewhat successful and the producers realize there's actually

a little bit of money to be made here if we can just keep this story going long enough,

there's a technique that they use to keep you engaged, keep you watching over the course of

many seasons and that is that they begin to develop the backstory of every last character. They start

writing in that episode which suddenly shows up somewhere around season three where there's an

episode devoted entirely to the childhood of a peripheral character on the cast and they do

that again and again and again to fill in the backstory to the plot that hooked you in the first
