| 3:35.5 | of our lives in some story of a small and separate self on our way somewhere else. |
| 3:42.9 | And there's not that many moments of a full sense of right here right now. |
| 3:49.5 | The meditations are practice of coming back, of coming home right to this moment, to |
| 3:55.6 | what I sometimes describe as our natural awareness. |
| 3:59.1 | In the last session, we talked about the golden Buddha or that light, that awareness that's |
| 4:06.8 | always and already here, but we forget about. |
| 4:11.4 | And the Buddha described our suffering really in terms of forgetting that we forget who |
| 4:16.6 | we are, that we get caught in some way wanting life to be different. |
| 4:23.7 | The sense that this moment should be different than it is that something's missing, that |
| 4:29.5 | something's wrong. |
| 4:32.3 | So part of this practice of mindfulness is noticing that and arriving again and again. |
